She attended Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa, followed by Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. Paula married Jim in 1964 after having been friends since the age of 7. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Paula believed strongly in her faith, was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling the country especially to the mountains or the shore.
She is survived by her husband James R. Avery, son Bryon K. Avery, daughter Pollyanna Avery Campbell, and granddaughters Megan and Madison Campbell.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North in Houston on Sunday, December 11, 2011 with Rev. Paul Russell officiating.
