

Pedro (Pete) Longoria of Missouri City, TX, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026. He was born in Richmond, TX on March 5, 1949. Pete was married to his childhood sweetheart, Janie, for 54 years. During which, they built a legacy of service to others and a family of faith. He served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. Pete spent most of his career working for DOW Chemical, filling many roles, all of which he loved. He had a passion for many things including learning, woodworking, family, friends, and sharing about Jesus with others. He is survived by his wife, Janie; his children, Melissa Hinkley (the late Wesley), Peter Longoria and his wife Katie, and Joey Mosqueda and his wife Lorrie. His grandchildren, Irelynn, Ivy, Ian, Christian, Mia, Gregory, Elena, Joey Jr., Nataleigh, Bailey, and Mateo. His brother Sam Longoria; and sisters Minnie Arechiga and Camelia Escobedo. He was preceded in death by his father Pedro Longoria Sr.; his mother, Ramona Caballero Longoria; his siblings Joe Longoria, Teresa Longoria, Mary Ramirez, and Connie Cruz. A committal service will be held at 10:45 a.m. on March 13, 2026, at Houston National Cemetery, followed later by a celebration of life and visitation. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. followed by service at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at Grace Community Fellowship West 21611 W Bellfort St., Richmond, TX 77406.
