Pedro Daniel Medrano, age 47, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was born in Houston, Texas, on January 29, 1979, to Cirilo Medrano and Esperanza Lopez. Daniel graduated from M.B. Smiley High School. He was the firstborn of four children and the first grandchild on his father’s side of the family "El mero mero," as he would say. Kind, gentle-hearted, and funny, he always brought a smile to everyone's face. He had a special way of bringing laughter into the lives of those around him with his jokes, humor, and unforgettable personality.
Daniel had a passion for watching the Houston Astros, following WWE, and collecting shoes, especially Jordans. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. Throughout his life, Daniel fought many battles and always gave everything he had to keep moving forward; he never wanted to give up and never stopped fighting. His strength, determination, and deep love for his family will always remain a defining part of who he was.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cirilo Medrano.
He is survived by his mother, Esperanza Lopez; his son, Sebastian Ruiz; his sister, Gladys Raquel Gutierrez; and his brothers, Jaime Medrano and Ricky Medrano. He is also survived by his beloved nephews and nieces: Julian, Jaime Jr., Karlie, Anthony, Sofia, and Oliver.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jaime Medrano, Ricky Medrano, Rafael Gutierrez, Julian Gutierrez, Jaime Medrano Jr., Anthony Medrano, and Oliver Medrano.
The family expresses a special thanks to all of their family, and especially to those who texted, called, and visited him often; he truly appreciated you all.
