Pete Ramirez, 91 years of age, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Born in Bay City, Texas to Natividad Espitia and Maria Espinosa. Pete served in the United States Army and was retired from the United States Postal Service after 40 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Marie Teresa Ramirez, his step sons Anthony Rodriguez, Rey Rodriguez and Rodney Rodriguez. Pete is survived by his wife Mary L. Ramirez, daughters Sylvia Gonzales and husband Daniel, Patricia Vela, and son Carlos Ramirez. Grandchildren Daniel Gonzales Jr., Ricky Ramirez, Nicholas Ramirez, Olivia Gonzales, Haley Vela and spouse Tiffany Whatley, along with one great grandchild Catarina Vela and his brother Bishop Ricardo Ramirez.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, located at 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church at 10:00 am, 4918 Cochran St., Houston, TX 77009, with Bishop Ricardo Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX 77023.
Serving as pallbearers are Nicholas Ramirez, Ricky Ramirez, Carlos Ramirez, Ted Henderson, Daniel Gonzales Sr., Daniel Gonzales Jr., Robert Gomez and Rolando De La Rosa.
