He was born on the 20th of September 1922 and is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Sarah Quinn, his sister Eleanor Regan, brother Larry Quinn and grandson Matthew Brown.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kitty; his daughters Cathy Brown and husband Dennis, Elizabeth Moscariello, Mary Coco and husband David, Patricia Koslow and husband Scott. He is also survived by his sister Helen Riso; his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Peter was born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y.C., attended Mt. St. Michael High School and graduated from Fordham University with a Business degree. After serving in WWII with the 63rd Infantry Division, Peter joined Shell Chemical Company in 1947. He enjoyed a thirty-four year career in the Shell Oil financial organization with assignments in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Deer Park and Houston. He was a long time member of the Houston Club and the Petroleum Club.
Peter would like to be remembered for the twenty-seven years he served as a weekday lector at his parish church, the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
He also shared his business talents while volunteering at various times and places with the Red Cross, the United Way and the YMCA.
As a friend of Bill W., he is grateful to the Houston Trinity Episcopal Church for providing meeting facilities and support for many years.
Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family for Recitation of the Holy Rosary at half-past nine o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 14th of July, at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway in Houston.
The Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 14th of July, at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway in Houston, where The Very Reverend Lawrence W. Jozwiak, J.C.L., Rector of the Cathedral, is to serve as celebrant.
The family will gather for a private interment at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston.
