

Randal was born December 4, 1966 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Doris Hankins (Chisenhall) and Troy Lee Smith. He graduated from Lufkin High School in 1985 and Angelina College with a degree in Drafting. He was a lifetime resident of Pollok, Texas.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Albi Garcia of Katy, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Jacob Cunningham of Fairfield, Texas; sister and brother in-law, Pamela and Steve Ramirez of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Kylie, Finley, and Tripp Cunningham and Carlos and Arya Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie (Holland) Smith of 18 years; mother Doris Hankins of Lufkin, Texas and father Troy Lee Smith of Dobbin, Texas.
Randal loved his fur babies, enjoyed motorcycle riding with his friends, hunting, fishing, gardening and was an Eagle Scout when he was younger.
If you knew Randal, you knew he had a vivid imagination and was an avid storyteller. He could tell some of the most outlandish stories about aliens, anacondas and would argue his point that the earth is flat.
The family would like to thank the physicians and nurses at St. Luke's-The Woodlands for the care and compassion they showed Randal in his final days.
A private service for immediate family will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026. A memorial service will be held in Pollok, Texas at a later date.
