Mike graduated from Bellaire High School, Class of 1969 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. He served 4 years in the US Navy achieving the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class while serving with the Helicopter Squadron 11 – HS 11.
Other than taking care of everyone, Mike was passionate about NASCAR, especially AJ Foyt and Terry LaBonte, University of Texas Longhorns and John Wayne. He was always helping neighbors and making sure our cul-de-sac was safe.
He was preceded in death by daughter Cory Davis, brothers Dwane Davis and John Kevin Davis and his parents.
Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy Taylor Davis; daughter Tara Geiger and her husband Ryan; grandchildren Haleigh and Andrew Geiger; Ty, Taylor and Tatum Godfrey; sisters Kathy Smith and husband Dickie and Cheryl Davis and husband Dave. And numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
