Richard lived in Porter, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on September 2, 1944 to Joseph David Sibley Sr. and Zora Strait Sibley.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Danette Sibley; father, Joseph David Sibley Sr.; mother, Zora Strait Sibley; and 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
Richard is survived by his children, Richard Sibley Jr. of Houston, TX, Laura Henderson and Bruce of Lampasas, TX, Kevin Sibley of Anchorage, AK, and Kelly Sibley of Splendora, TX; grandchildren, Rēs, Rylee, Reagan, Dale, Drew, Aaron, JC, Nicholas, Karissa, Kirby, Blake and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Thaddeus, Theodore, and Eleanor, as well as two new ones on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Richard will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM, with a committal service to follow at 3:00 PM.
Serving as pallbearers are Aaron Blair, Res Sibley, JC Whitaker, Dale Conner, Nicholas Whitaker, Nolan Riggs, Austin Tillery and Colby Tillery.
