I just learned of Bob's passing and wanted to express my sympathy .  

I met Bob way back in 1969 when I was working for AT&T in the Business Office in downtown Houston.  There were several of us "newbies" who trained around the same time and Bob was always willing to help us if we had questions on orders we were unfamiliar with.

As time went on, and we became more knowledgeable, we often kidded him about having to bail him out every time he made a mistake on a customer's account.   He always took the joking in good spirit and it was a pleasure working with him.

I moved to another department in 1974 and only saw Bob occasionally after that. Regardless,  I always remembered his help and encouragement during my early years with Ma Bell!

May he rest in peace and my condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences to the family.  I didn’t know Bob well but he kindly gave blood for my mother during her final illness.  I never forgot his kindness and  I will keep him in my prayers.  I would have attended his funeral had I known.

When I asked Bob to walk me down the aisle, he said, "I'd be honored to" and immediately went into "Bob Mode" saying he would be in charge of the music and would pick the songs and ask Sabrina to sing.  He called me often during the planning to be sure I did this or that and because of him I had the most beautiful wedding.    I really was the one who was honored to have him by my side.  He was my dear friend always helping me through all my trials and tribulation and a wonderful father figure.

I am so sorry to hear of this loss, my deepest condolences. Praying for peace and comfort for all of the family.

Bob was, without a doubt, the best boss (multiple times) I ever had .   He was such a good and interesting and caring person with a wicked sense of humor--someone I grew to trust, respect and love.  He will live on in the hearts and memories of his family and the multitude of people he touched during his life.

I worked for Bob in 1986-88. He was a great boss. Later after retiring we keep in touch with an eat out group. May he rest in peace.

Douglas and I remember when Bob made the golf ⛳️ clubs for Doug.  🙏🏽 We are so sorry and send our condolences. ❤️

Just one of our celebrations with the  Fondren Park neighborhood friends.  Bob was instrumental in organizing our "Friday Night Dinner Group" where we reminisced about the good days of the 60's, 70's and 80"s.   He loved Eduardo's Mexican Restaurant in Stafford and was treated royally there.   Just one of the many memories I have of him.

I met Bob in the 1990s through Leslie, his daughter, whom I worked with. He knew my predicament as a widow and helped me thru some hard times. He was a very generous and charitable man. He sought out the needy. We spoke sometimes through the years. I called or he called  and we shared a friendship in the Lord. I will hold him in my prayers that he may have eternal life in our Lord Jesus and our God.

I remember always seeing him at the softball fields. RIP Dear Sir. May the road rise up to meet you.. May the wind be always at your back.. May the lord hold you in the hollow of his hand. Prayers for the family.

Bob was my friend for over 40 years.  We worked together for Southwestern Bell for 30 of them and he was instrumental in my being able to retire. It was in the 1980's when the Bell System was being broken up and my job was being eliminated that Bob came to my aid. I was notified by AT&T that I would no longer have a job January 1. So Christmas was really not going well that Bob called and offered his help.  He literally created a job for me while putting his own future at risk. But then that was Bob. The job became permanent and a  model for those that wanted to return to SWBT from AT&T.  Bob literally rescued my job but more than that he enabled us to have a future. Bob I am truly going to miss you. God bless you dear friend.
