

Bob was born on February 2, 1928 in Abilene, TX. His family moved to Houston when he was 3 months old. He attended Shriner Institute and Texas A&M University. He then served 2 years in the US Marines, Occupation Forces on Guam. Upon his return, he received his Bachelor of Science in Geology at the University of Houston.
Bob was married to Sue Otto Fendley on May 13, 1983 on St Thomas, Virgin Islands; they were married for 33 years. Bob & Sue resided in Fulshear, TX for 33 years until recently relocating to Richmond, TX.
Bob had a long and successful career as an independent geologist. The majority of his work was done with Southeastern Pipeline Company in partnership with Stanley Woods. Bob enjoyed saltwater fishing and travel. Bob & Sue belonged to the Foretravel Motorcade Club and made many fun trips across the US, Canada & Mexico.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sue Otto Fendley of Richmond, TX; and her five children, John Otto, his wife Nancy and their family; Jim Otto; Susan Otto Harris, her husband Wayne and their family; Glenn Otto and his family, and Danita Otto Stovall, and her husband Bryan. He is also survived by 3 nieces and 3 nephews, Becky Carr and her family, Dianne Davies Russell, her husband John and their family; Tracye Davies Wollney and her family; Jim Fendley, his wife Lea and their family; David Fendley; and Nelson Davies his wife Carrie and their family.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.M. Fendley; his brother James (Jim) Fendley and his wife Wynelle Fendley; his sister Shirley Fendley Davies and her husband Nelson Davies.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday July 16, 2016 at 1:30 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2:30pm at the same location. Mark Welshimer will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob’s life.
