Robert "Bobby" John Miksch Sr.

He was born in Taylor, TX on August 20, 1939 to Joseph and Adella Miksch. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Adella Miksch; first wife, Erin Colleen Sing; and brother, Joseph “Jody” Leo, Jr.

Bobby worked for Exxon USA for 25 years before becoming a self-employed businessman. He was a member in SPJST Lodge 88, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and Lions Club. Bobby’s favorite hobbies were playing golf, gambling, as well as watching sports and old John Wayne movies.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; three children, Robert Jr. Miksch and wife Jennifer, Rebecca Ann Erickson and husband Steven, Johnathan Charles Miksch and wife Lauren; grandchildren, Ashley Miksch, Courtney Erickson, Madeline Erickson, Joseph Erickson and soon-to-arrive Ava Grace Miksch.

He will be truly missed by his family and many friends.

Visitation will be at Pat H. Foley & Company on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga Blvd, Houston, TX 77092. Burial will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
