Robert Brooks, born May 18, 1990, in Houston, Texas, passed away on March 2, 2026. Though his time here was far too short, Robert made sure it was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments.
Robert was known for his big personality and even bigger sense of humor. He was goofy, silly, and always ready to make someone laugh—often without even trying. If there was music playing, you could count on Robert to be dancing, and if there was a good time to be had, he was already there. He loved life, he loved people, and he especially loved spending time with his family.
A self-proclaimed basketball star, Robert had a deep love for the game. Whether or not others agreed with his “greatness,” he played with confidence, passion, and just enough swagger to keep everyone entertained.
One of Robert’s most special qualities was his thoughtfulness. He never forgot a birthday—no matter how much time had passed or how far apart people were. That small but meaningful gesture was just one of the many ways he showed how deeply he cared.
Robert leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his wife, Deangela Amos Brooks; his beloved daughter, Sania Brooks; and his son, Konnor Brooks. He is also survived by his brother, Reginald Mitchell, and his sister, Anita Mitchell.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Angela Mitchell, and his brother, Raymond Mitchell, who we know welcomed him with open arms.
Robert’s presence was a gift—one filled with laughter, dancing, jokes, and love. While his absence leaves a deep void, his spirit will live on in every smile, every song, and every family gathering that feels just a little quieter without him.
