Robert Joseph Marek, 92, born February 1, 1923 in Yoakum, Texas entered into eternal rest November 2, 2015. Robert proudly served in the US. Army from 1942-1945 and was a dedicated employee of Marek Brothers Company for 47 years. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Mae Marek. Left to cherish his precious memories: children: Donald Marek & wife Lucy, Bobby Marek & wife Doris, Gary Marek & wife Cindy, Ronnie Marek & wife Tina, Kathy Folk, Jackie Steward & husband Donald; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 5-9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 2730 Nelwood Dr. Hou., TX. 77038. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
