Robert Earl Murphy (Bob), age 75, of Coldspring, Texas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Robert was born on July 6, 1946 in Pioneer, Louisiana and was raised in Littlefield, Texas. He served in the Navy and was honorably discharged on June 21st in 1966. Robert was a millwright, tile contractor and a member of a local Mason lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Astros and Rangers.
Robert is survived by his spouse, Debra Murphy; his son Robert Murphy; his daughters Sharon Murphy and partner Vinny Rocco, Sheila Shaw and husband Darren Shaw, Cara Fulcher, Abby Murphy; his step-son Keith Helms; his brother Charles Murphy; his sisters Virginia Beaty and Helen Koger; his grandsons Brandon Shaw, Trenton Shaw, Bailey Murphy, Ian Helms; his granddaughter Tara; his great grandson Dakota Shaw; and his great granddaughter Raelyn Murphy.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Samuel P. Murphy and his mother Emily Davis Murphy; his sister Vivian Murphy; his brothers Samuel Harold Murphy, James Lloyd Murphy, Donnie Lee Murphy, Billy Ray Murphy; and his step-daughter Patty Fulcher.
A visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Shaw, Trenton Shaw, Bailey Murphy, Ian Helms, Darren Shaw, Vinny Rocco, Keith Helms and Nicholas Stobaugh.
