Bob was a very thoughtful man I went to High School with in the late 60's. I am so very sorry for his loss and wish his family peace.

Bob,or Ralphie,as we affectionately called him, was a good friend from Bayside high school. I had heard from Don about his cancer. But I am just learning of his passing.  Bob was a good friend and person in HS.  After reading his obituary I can see that he was a great man, husband and father. You have wonderful memories of him.  Your family is beautiful. I am so sorry he has passed way too young. Prayers for you, Giovana, and for all of the family.

Bob was a great co-worker and scientist who helped us fight our battles. It is very sad to learn of his passing.

We are so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person  and dedicated geophysicist.  The Aurisano family was especially close to the Van Nieuwenhuise family from our days together in Tulsa.  The last time I saw Bob was at a very special ceremony / ritual at the Knights of Columbus.  And I remember that Bob was just so happy to have completed that particular Knight's event.  Don, our hearts go out to you in this time of sadness.  You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. My sincere condolences to you and your family in this difficult time.

It was with great sorrow to hear of Bob's passing. Bob and I were colleages in geophysics for several years.  He brought a lot of good energy to often long workdays and I really enjoyed his sense of humor.  He will be missed. My sympathies go out to Giovanna and his family.

Bob and I were very close "buds" from high school.  Though his nickname was "Ralphie" given to him by our biology teacher, Nick Savage.  We have stayed in contact through the years and I have always thought the world of him. I am sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was always someone I looked up to while I was growing up, and continued to look up to into adulthood. He was a great soccer coach (coaching the undefeated St. John Vianney Purple Tigers in 1996) but even more than that, he was a solid mentor and role model. He was a funny guy, but not just for the sake of being funny; his sense of humor was rich with genuinely honest overtones. As one of Peter's good buddies, Bob always spoke to me differently then all of the other parents: like a friend. It was a mutual respect, which is rare. He was a realist and a pragmatist; an outdoorsman and a scholar, and he is missed by everyone lucky enough to know him. My sincerest condolences to Gio, Nita, Peter, and Meli

Bob was such a great guy. It was always fun to be with twin brothers, Bob and Don, and to share in their unique bond that started before birth. My sympathies to Don, Giovanna, Michele, all of Bob's family and friends; so sorry for your loss. I know that Bob's spirit will live on in the special ways he touched so many of us.It's very nice, yet sad, to be looking at his picture on the web site right now, so glad I got to know Bob.
