

He was born in Greeley, Colorado, on November 24, 1950. Robert was a 1973 honors graduate of Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School in 1976.
He was married to Elia Salazar for 16 wonderful years. Robert had a distinguished career in law, practicing as an attorney in Denver with a focus on renewable fuels and economic development. He later founded his own company, Natural Chem. He was also a founder, Board Member, and pro bono General Counsel for the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and he represented numerous community-based organizations dedicated to promoting economic opportunity and development.
Robert had a deep love for sports, enjoyed fine dining and exploring new cuisines, and cherished every moment spent with family. He was known for his wisdom, hard work, and sharp intellect.
He is survived by his son, Robert Salazar Jr., and his three stepchildren, Johanna, Alex, and Eduardo.
A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champion, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A funeral service will start 1:00 PM with reception to follow.
