Robert Thompson, 80, of Houston Texas, passed away on September 19, 2022. He was born in Houston, Texas on November 14, 1941 to parents Jewell Thompson and Robert Kirby Thompson. He met Candy Thompson in Houston, Texas and married on April 2, 1965. He was a Master Mechanic & owned Thompson’s Auto Repair for 45 years. He had a passion for his family, cars, loved work, gambling, baseball, helping anyone he could and treat everyone as family.
Robert Thompson was kind hearted, he knew no strangers, everyone loved him, heart of gold, and he took excellent care of his family and he was a role model for many. If there were more husband and fathers like Robert Thompson this world would be a better place.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Kirby Thompson, mother Jewell Thompson, daughter Rhonda Milliean, sister Betty Wilson, and brother Chuck Thompson.
He is survived by his wife Candy Thompson, daughter Kimberly Dunn, granddaughter Ashley Dunn, Suzie Villegas, Carol Nordenfelt, Geneva Robuck, Tina Tobias, Peggy Sue Carpenter, Tracy Berry and various other nieces and nephews all loved by their uncle Robert.
Pallbearers are Jason Robuck, Travis Robuck, Tracey Berry, Casey Berry, Scott Cook, Tim Beals, and Darrell Robinson.
A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM. A burial will occur Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
