Robertina Herrera Delgado

Robertina Herrera Delgado of Houston Texas passed away on February 6th, 2025 at the age of 85, She was born in Magangué, Bolívar, Colombia on November 3rd, 1939, the daughter of Noemí Delgado and Ricaurte Herrera. She spent her early years growing up in Zaragoza, Antioquia. She moved to Medellin, Colombia, where she became the partner of Norberto Antonio Rojas Torres and was the mother of Diana Maria Rojas Herrera whom she raised alone after her partner's death in 1980. She worked cleaning houses until Diana was 16 years of age and helped by becoming employed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, partner, sister Hermilda, half-sisters Ruth, Graciela, Onorata, and Julieta, half-brother Alirio, and her nephew Alejandro, she is survived by her daughter Diana, brother Argemiro, sister-in-law Marta, nieces Maria Elena, Ana Patricia, Catalina, Natalia and Maria Victoria, nephews Ruben Dario, Juan Fernando, Johan and Ricardo and her grandson who she loved so much and was very proud of Duncan.

The family would like to thank Nadia, Patience, Debbie, Hattie for the care and compassion they showed our loved one during her long illness, and Toya who was with her during her final moments.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Friday February 21st from 5-8pm. The Rosary will be at 6:30pm, at Forest Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd 77077, Houston. There will also be a Mass on February 22nd, at 2pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. The internment has yet to be determined.

Robertina Herrera Delgado vivía en Houston, Texas, falleció el 6 de febrero de 2025 a la edad de 85 años. Nació en Magangué, Bolívar, Colombia, el 3 de noviembre de 1939, hija de Noemí Delgado y Ricaurte Herrera. Pasó sus primeros años creciendo en Zaragoza, Antioquia. Se trasladó a Medellín, Colombia, donde se convirtió en la pareja de Norberto Antonio Rojas Torres y fue madre de Diana María Rojas Herrera, a quien crió sola tras la muerte de su pareja en 1980. Trabajó limpiando casas hasta que Diana cumplió 16 años y comenzó a trabajar.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, pareja, hermana Hermilda, medias hermanas Ruth, Graciela, Onorata y Julieta, medio hermano Alirio y su sobrino Alejandro. Le sobreviven su hija Diana, hermano Argemiro, cuñada Marta, sobrinas Maria Elena, Ana Patricia, Catalina, Natalia y Maria Victoria, sobrinos Ruben Dario, Juan Fernando, Johan y Ricardo, y su nieto, a quien amaba muchísimo y estaba muy orgullosa de él, ella le dio el nombre Duncan.

La familia desea agradecer a Nadia, Patience, Debbie, Hattie por el cuidado y la compasión que mostraron a nuestra querida Mami durante su larga enfermedad, y a Toya, quien estuvo con ella durante sus últimos momentos.

Familiares y amigos están invitados a asistir a la Velación el viernes 21 de febrero de 5 a 8 pm. El Rosario será a las 6:30pm, Forest Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston 77077. También habrá una Misa el 22 de febrero a las 2 pm en la Capilla del Funeral Home. El lugar de entierro aún no se ha determinado.
