Roger Dale Armstrong

Roger Dale Armstrong was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a beloved friend and mentor. He loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his daughters and grandchildren. To anyone that knew Roger, he was one of the most genuine men put on this earth. He loved to dance, laugh and listen. He would give anyone the shirt off his back, and if you needed anything fixed, Roger was the one to call. His charisma lit up any room and his smile was contagious. He loved to joke, tell stories and make people happy. These were his gifts to the world. He will be missed dearly by all.

Roger served honorably in the United States Navy from 1961 – 1968. Professionally, Roger was the most honest and caring salesman that most have ever met, earning the National Toyota Sales Society Master Award twice, with multiple regional sales awards as well during his successful career.

Roger is survived by his wife, Georgene Huckeba; Lifelong friend and companion, Maybelle Armstrong; daughter, Sherrie Magby and husband, Robin; daughter, Lisa Bernas, and husband, Mark; grandchildren Brandon, Christine, Cole, Robin and Alexandra; great grandchildren, Harper; sister, Sherrie Wells and husband, R.D. Wells; brother, Albert Armstrong; sister, Sheila Cline; and Uncle, Cecil Ayers.

He is preceded in death by his father, Preston Armstrong; mother, Lorene Ragsdale; step father, William Ragsdale; brother, Donald Ragsdale; and son Roger Allen Armstrong.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 6 PM to 9 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10 AM in the chapel at Forest Park Westheimer.
