It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Ronald Curtis Wilson on June 15, 2025. He was born on October 2, 1958, to Delores and Ronald Wilson of Houston, Texas.
Ronald graduated from Charlton-Pollard High School in Beaumont, Texas. Early on, he showed a natural talent for football. He earned a scholarship to play at Kilgore College and later transferred to Kansas State University, where he continued to excel. Though an injury ended his football career, Ronald remained a proud Wildcat for the rest of his life.
Ronald worked in management, dedicating many years of hard work and service to companies like Conn’s and Ashley Furniture. He was well known for his easy-going nature, quick wit, infectious laugh, and his remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met.
Outside of work, Ronald had a deep love for fishing, barbecuing, and spending quality time with his grandson. He was the heart of every gathering--always ready to host, celebrate, and bring people together. His love for life, family, and good times made him a cherished presence in every room.
Ronald is survived by his devoted wife, Beatrice Wilson; his beloved son, Chris Wilson; and his grandson and fishing buddy, Bradley Wilson, who was the light of his life. He also leaves behind his mother, Delores Taylor; his sisters, Donna Jones (Terry) and Kathy Daigle (Vincent); Nicole Melin (Eric); Sisters Pricilla, Ronda and Cheryl; brother Eric Wilson(Jessica) nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wilson, Sr., stepfather, Willie Taylor, stepmother Ann Wilson, sister Carla Mitchell, stepbrother Willie Earl Hobbs, and grandparents Lester and Sarah Moreland.
Ronald’s joyful spirit, warmth, and laughter will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday June 21, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the main chapel of Garden Oaks Funeral Home, located at 13430 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, TX 77083. A reception will follow.
