The world lost a beloved mother, Rosa Palacios, on October 25, 2021. Rosa battled Parkinson’s disease, but it never stopped her from being the best mom. Rosa died in her home surrounded by her children, Liz, Jessica, Delia, Michael, April and her husband Jesse. Rosa was born in Michoacan, Mexico on August 6, 1964.
It would be wrong to say that Rosa lost her battle with her disease because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined to make sure her kids got along. When anyone else would have broken, Rosa stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Rosa. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
Rosa had a hard childhood which in turn made her a tough and independent woman who wanted her kids to develop those same qualities. Her passion was caring for her family and making sure they stayed together no matter what life threw at them. Her children and husband will continue to work to stay together as she would have wanted. Rosa will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts and minds of those who loved her and knew her. She taught us all what is really important in life - to love, support and care for friends and family in our lives.
A visitation with family & friends for Rosa will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079, followed by a celebration of life starting at 5:00 PM.
Thanks to everyone for all the heartfelt prayers and support. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.memorialoaksfunerals.com for the Palacios family.
