Rosalie was a graduate of St. Agnes Academy, and also attended the University of Houston. She had a strong devotion to the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, along with her Catholic faith. Rosalie was an only child, but shared a sisterly bond with her first cousin, Rosalie C. Beniretto. They spoke every day, and were two Italian peas in a pod. She became involved in owning numerous pieces of real estate throughout the Houston area. Most notably, Rosalie was a devoted mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother. As a result of her warm and caring nature, she was considered “Maw Maw” by many, and greeted everyone with a cheerful “Hey Baby.” Rosalie had a true passion for family and food. The stove was always hot at her house. During the holiday season, she would spend weeks preparing her famous Italian cookies, pies, & cheesecakes for loved ones to enjoy. Following church on Sundays, nothing satisfied her cravings better than pasta and Hartz Fried Chicken. Many of her fond memories were experienced while traveling. Her dream of seeing The Vatican and Rome came true in 2008 while traveling the Mediterranean Sea.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her mother, Josephine P. Costa; father, Joseph V. Costa; husband, Billy R. Corbin, Sr.; son, Michael Anthony Corbin; and grandson, Joseph Michael Corbin. She is survived by her sons, Billy Ray Corbin, Jr. and his wife Hydee, and Joseph Patrick Corbin and his wife Marilyn; cousin, Rosalie C. Beniretto and her husband Pete; grandchildren, Morgan Corbin Aderhold and her husband Troy, Kaitlyn Victoria Corbin and fiancé Jonathon Rivas; Michelle Corbin and her husband Paul Buescher; Deborah Pena and her husband Vincent, Cynthia Corbin and Paul Corbin; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Lori Duran, who was Rosalie’s primary caregiver for nearly four years. Lori was a guardian angel who remained at her side every day until Rosalie’s passing. Alongside Lori, were many other special individuals assisting in the daily care of Rosalie whom the family wishes their sincerest gratitude.
