

Ross Allen Evans passed away March 2, 2015. He was born in San Antonio, Texas March 6, 1931. He worked for his father as a teenager after school building houses for his Dad’s construction company. He enlisted in the Army and trained to be a paratrooper with his best friend Roger Dickey. Once discharged, he worked for his father’s company that was passed to his brother where he became project manager over multi story office buildings. He started E and C Contracting Inc. with his wife Janie Evans in 1986 and later changed the name to Evans Construction. He was well known in the construction community, respected and loved by all. In his youth he owned a small airplane and loved to fly. Later, he enjoyed boating, working and repairing cars and trucks. He was also a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church for many years.
He is preceded by his mother and father Elizabeth and Denton B. Evans, step mother Lillian (Babe) Evans, brothers John and Bob Evans, and his wife Mary Jane (Janie) Evans. He leaves to mourn his passing, His daughter Diana Jones and her husband KC, and children Christopher, Stacey and Reece, daughter Barbara and her husband Tim, daughter Tammy, and Dwight Evans, and children Nickolas and Elizabeth, step children Norri Jan, Mitch and Judy Collier and their children Dana and Kelly, and Jason Collier. He had a total of 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren who all loved and will miss him.
