Ruby Florrie Gaddis, a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on June 8, 1929, in Crockett, Texas, she was the youngest of six girls. On October 18, 1946, Ruby married William Gaddis in Houston, Texas. She was a cherished member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Houston.
Ruby was known for her kind-hearted, patient, and selfless nature. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, and her sisters. Ruby is survived by her children: Betty (Gary), Nancy (Joe), Bill (Phyllis), Bob (Kayla), and Mimi (Harris). She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Her shining light and joy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on February 16, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Pat H. Foley & Company, located at 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, Texas, 77018. A Celebration of Life Graveside service will be at Brookside Memorial Park. This service will be held privately.
