Sadie Mae Labbe

She was born on July 19, 1940, in Natchitoches, Louisiana to the late John C. and Stella Metoyer.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Sadie enjoyed gardening, fishing, and completing her crossword puzzles. She also loved watching her favorite TV shows, movies, and watching her great-granddaughter Mia play high school and college basketball.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Floyd Labbe Sr., her parents John C. and Stella, her sister Stella M. Sonnier, and her brother John C. Metoyer Jr.

Sadie leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter JoAnn Labbe-Landry (Calvin-Billy), her two sons Joseph F. Labbe Jr. (Carolyn), and David Labbe (Cherie). Her sisters Barbara Ledet and Clair Roque (Marvin). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Clarence Batiste Jr. (Steph), DeAntoinette Riggins (Jermaine), Christina Labbe, SeQuincia Labbe, LaQuincia Labbe, Amanda Labbe, and Joseph F. Labbe III.

Also 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held for Sadie on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Paradise Funeral Home Chapel, 10401 W. Montgomery Rd. Houston Texas 77088. A celebration of life will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The committal service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 01:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
