

Sally Evans Nann, born March 4, 1931, in Syracuse, New York to Evan B. Evans and Phyllis Standen Evans, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2014, in Houston, TX. Sally is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Karl J. Nann, to whom she was married for 58 years. She is survived by their children, Melanie Kennedy and her husband, Dr. Patrick Kennedy, daughter Allison Valentine and her husband, Michael Valentine, and son Karl Nann, Jr. and his wife Sally Nann; by 12 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
Sally grew up in Syracuse, and attended the State University of New York Teachers College at Oswego, NY. After graduation, she began a lifelong career as a kindergarten teacher, teaching in New York, Maine, Washington and California. After retirement she enjoyed playing golf with her husband and friends at Pine Forest Country Club. She was a long time member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
