Sally Mahan (Camp) Woody passed away on July 14, 2021 at the age of 79. A native Texan, who graduated from Bellaire High School and attended Texas Tech University. At the end of her earthly life, she still had a smile and giggle for everyone. Even while at Methodist Hospital she continued to entertain doctors and nurses with stories about her 40+ years at Baylor College of Medicine working with her friend Dr. DeBakey. Sally was a life time director of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and was a past chairman of the School Art committee where she devoted most of her time. She was also a part of other committees such as Ticket Trailer, Palomino and BBQ just to name a few. Since the 1970s, Sally was also an active volunteer with the Houston Golf Association. Anyone that was around Sally for any length of time realized her deep love for Texas A&M and in particular Aggie football! WHOOP! Both her father and brother marched in the Fighting Texas Aggie Band and her son Greg attended Texas A&M. Sally is now waiving her 12th Man towel in her Heavenly home. Sally’s sweet demeanor, kindness, infectious smile and giving heart will never be forgotten. All her family and friends and friends of friends will truly miss her beautifully handwritten notes on the birthday, anniversary and congratulatory cards she mailed every day to ensure that each person in her life knew how very special they were to her. Sally is survived by her son, Greg Mahan of Houston TX; brother Bill Camp and wife Connie of Franklin TN; grandchildren Reba, DJ, Paula and Justin; great grandchild Roxie; stepchildren Kurt, Kyle and Kelli and their extended families and friends. Memorial Services will be held on July 21, 2021, Wednesday 1:00pm at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay St. Houston TX 77024.
