Salome Ceniza Babanto

Salome Ceniza Babanto, age 67, peacefully passed away on June 13, 2021 at 3:36pm in Friendswood, Texas. She was surrounded by her family during the second glorious mystery of the rosary.

Her family and close friends always called her Mimi. She was born in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines to Simeon Bihag Ceniza and Romualda Perez Ceniza on October 22, 1953. She went to school at Cebuano Barracks Institute, graduated from Chong Hua Hospital School of Nursing, and married Rogelio Ragadio Babanto. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Eagle Pass, Texas for 2 years before working in Houston Methodist Hospital for 35 years. She was an immigrant from the Philippines and loved her family dearly.

Mimi is preceded in death by her father Simeon Bihag Ceniza, mother Romualda Perez Ceniza, father-in-law Porferio Galacio Babanto, mother-in-law Josefa Ragadio Babanto, and brother-in-law Tirzo Zanoria Oporto.

Mimi is survived by her spouse Rogelio Ragadio Babanto, children, Amy Ceniza Babanto, Philip Ceniza Babanto, Evie Le, brothers and sisters Lydia Ceniza Oporto, Ethel Ceniza Mamac, Crescenta Ceniza Castillo, Deogenes Perez Ceniza, Nimfa Ceniza Marasigan, Arlene Perez Ceniza, Jerry Perez Ceniza, and grandson Jayson Ceniza Babanto.
