Sam was born on February 8, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, to Eleuterio and Josephine Don. From an early age, he brought joy to those around him—a trait that remained with him throughout his life.
Sam will be remembered for his love of life, his generous heart, and the unforgettable way he made others laugh. His kindness and sense of humor touched countless family members and friends, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.
He dedicated his life to his craft, working as an electrician with pride and skill. Beyond his profession, Sam had a deep love for music. Whether at home or surrounded by those he loved, he could often be heard singing his favorite songs at the top of his lungs, filling the room with energy, and joy. He also found great happiness in riding his Harley motorcycle, cherishing the freedom of the open road, and the peace of the countryside.
Above all else, Sam treasured time with his family. He never missed an opportunity to gather, share stories, and create lasting moments. The stories of his childhood and life adventures—often told with his lighthearted sense of humor—are part of the legacy he leaves behind. Those moments will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
Sam is survived by his loving mother, Josephine Don; his sisters, Sophia Don Gomez, and Sonya Don Fisher and husband, Matthew; his brother, Leonard Don, and wife, Ann. He also leaves behind his cherished nephews, Leo Don, Greg Gomez, Mathew Gomez, and Joshua Fisher; his nieces, Mallory Josephson and Julia Fisher; as well as extended family and loved ones throughout San Antonio and beyond.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eleuterio Don and his beautiful sister-in-law, Donna Don.
Sam’s love, laughter, and spirit will remain with us always. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
