

She is survived by her sons, David C. Del Toro and Dante R. Del Toro; daughters-in-law DeeDee Del Toro and Christina Gates; and three grandchildren, Tori, Rachel, and Nico Del Toro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Felix Vasquez and Celia Salas Vasquez, and her siblings, Beatrice "Lilly" R. Gutierrez, Gerardo Manuel Vasquez, and Elena Isabel Vasquez Partida. Her extended family included many relatives from Monterrey, Mexico, whom she visited often and lovingly claimed as her own.
Sandra graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston and attended South Texas Junior College. She spent many years working as an executive administrator for physicians and later served with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Department of Justice. After retirement, she spent her final years at Ivy Point Senior Living Home, where she formed meaningful friendships and truly enjoyed her time as a resident.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home–Cypress Creek (9149 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77095) on January 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at the same location.
