Sandra was born on March 26, 1957 to Sam Davis and Doris Mae Galloway in Richmond Texas. She was the baby girl out of their seven children. She attended A W. Jackson and Lamar Consolidated High School where she ran track and graduated.
Sandra had 3 beautiful daughters with Howard Hicks (deceased). She met and married her loving and devoted husband Julius Jenkins in the early 80’s. 40 years together and 35 years of marriage!
Sandra loved to cook, listen to music, dance, spend time with her family and of course she loved to eat. She also liked to help those in need. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, she always made it over the top and memorable. She was a huge Astros fan. She was very outgoing and the life of the party. She didn’t hold her tongue either..lol!
Sandra worked for years at the cleaners. She later decided to make a career change so she got her CDL license. She started driving the bus for First Transit which contracts with Metro. She worked her way up in the ranks before she had to quit her job because of her disability.
Sandra loved the Lord. She attended Greater Zion MBC in Rosenberg, TX early on. She was an active member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Pastor John H.Wilburn at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Doris and sisters Doretta and Patricia. Those survived by Sandra is her husband Julius. Her Sisters Rosie (Plez), Charlotte, Shirley and bothers Wesley and Sam Jr. Her beautiful daughters LaToya (Tracy), Latisha, and Shanita. Grandchildren Kiandra (Timothy), Enfiniti, Eterniti, Kolby and Bella (grandpup) Great-grandchildren Jaden, Amari, and Lola (great g-pup). A host of family, in-laws, god-daughter, friends and loved ones. She was also Big Mama to a special crew.
