

Santa Joyce Fasullo Koenig age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan 6, 2010 at her home. Born in Houston, Texas on December 4, 1921, Joyce was the daughter of the late Anthony Termini and Lena Emmite Termini. She grew up in Dickinson, Texas and was a graduate of Dickinson High School and of St. Mary’s Infirmary, Galveston Texas as a medical laboratory technician. Joyce worked at Herman Hospital before becoming a loving and devoted mother. After the death of her first husband, Joyce courageously supported her family by working in the banking industry for major banking institutions such as Texas Commerce Bank and First City National. She cherished her involvement in numerous organizations including the Tapawingo Club, Charity Guild of St. Joseph, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Ladies of the Sacred Heart, St. Michael’s Sociable Seniors. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church for 55 years. Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar T. Fasullo and by her second husband, Paul Koenig. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her sons, Peter A. Fasullo and his wife Cheryl, Leonard J. Fasullo and his wife Joan, and Michael T. Fasullo and his wife Cinzia. She is also survived by her brother, James A. Termini and his wife Joyce. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren who were the joy of her life; Thomas, Joseph, Andrew, Theresa, Michael, Matthew, Alessio, Livio, Sofia, and Elena. Joyce will also be missed by her loving nieces, nephews, many cousins, and friends.The family wishes to give its sincere appreciation to Satirie Dixon, Glynda O’Neal, Regina Williams and Christine Martin for the care given to their mother. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Lehane and his medical staff and the 8th floor nurses at Methodist Hospital.Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2010 in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX . With a Rosary being recited at 3:00 pm by the Ladies of the Sacred Heart and Charity Guild of St. Joseph then at 7:00 pm a Parrish Rosary will be recited. Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 11, 2010 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, TX 77077, with Rev. Philip P. Lloyd officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to St. Theresa’s Catholic Church Scholarship Fund, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, Texas 77007.
