

Santiago Lozano, a cherished resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Havana, Cuba, on May 5, 1951, to Yolanda and Rodolfo Lozano, Santiago was a kind, smart, and funny man who touched the lives of many with his kind-hearted and generous spirit.
Santiago married Maritza Lozano in Tampa, Florida, on February 27, 1971. He was a faithful and honest husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife Maritza, his son Marcos Lozano (Robin Lozano), his daughter Marcia Lozano (Lee Brown), his brother Carlos Lozano, his sister Milagros Lozano, and his grandchildren Jake Lozano, Gabriela Grace Lozano, Santiago M. Brown, and Mateo M. Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Joshua Lozano.
Santiago dedicated over 30 years of his career to working as a truck driver and spent 10 years working for Metro. Even after retirement, his passion for driving led him to work for Uber. He also enjoyed working at cigar shows with his friends, sharing his love for cigars with others.
In his personal life, Santiago was known for his compassion and his enjoyment of fishing, driving, cigar smoking, and participating in barbecue cook-offs. He was a valued member of the Knights of Columbus and faithfully attended St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church.
A visitation will be held at Garden Oaks Funeral Home, located at 13430 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77083, on December 30, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral mass will take place at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Community, 13350 Ashford Point Dr, Houston, TX 77082, on December 31, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Following the mass, a committal service will be conducted at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
Santiago's generous and compassionate nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
