

Sarah Kimble Pugh was born on February 25, 1946, to the union of Steve and Alma Pullen Kimble in Lena, Louisiana. She was number five of ten children and was baptized at Saint Margaret’s Catholic Church in Boyce, Louisiana.
Sarah attended Alfred Wettermark High School Rapides Parish in Boyce, Louisiana, and graduated in 1964. After graduation she moved to Houston, Texas, to live with her late brother Ralph Kimble. While there she attended Erma Hughes Business College and completed her coursework in May of 1965.
Sarah married her childhood sweetheart, Anthony Lawrence Pugh, at Saint Margaret’s Church, in Boyce, Louisiana on December 18,1965. After their first child was born, they lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, while Anthony served the remainder of his time in the Army.
After moving back to Houston, she joined Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. They moved into their first home where they were the proud parents of three wonderful children: Lisa, Antoinette and Anthony, Jr.
She began her first job as a young lady at Sears Roebuck & Company’s candy kiosk in Alexandria, Louisiana. Afterward, she worked in the banking industry in Texas, for 37 years and retired in 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Steve and Alma Pullen Kimble, and her brothers Bernard, Ralph, and John Kimble. Leaving to mourn her departure: her husband, Anthony Lawrence Pugh, Sr., daughters, Lisa Johnson (Stanley), Antoinette Davis (Walter), son Anthony Lawernce Pugh, Jr. (Rain). Eight grandchildren: Alan Beaudion (Christine), Douglas Beaudion, Nicholas Beaudion, Preston Johnson, Christy Nicol (Philemon), Amber Pugh, Keyaira Pugh and Prince Pugh. Six great-grandchildren: Kason, Karter, Kingston, Nicholas Beaudion, Jr., Reyna Pelayo and Peyton Hongo.
Sarah is survived by six brothers: Odis Lewis (Jessie), Steve Kimble, Jr. (Josephine), Charles Kimble (Marylyn), Ronald “Ronnie” Kimble (Linda), Roland Kimble (Ruth), Noland Kimble, (Melissa), and one sister, Vivian Kimble Johnson, of Shreveport, Louisiana. Two sisters-in-law: Verna Jackson (Charles) of Dallas, Patricia Singer (Jerry) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
