She was born in Putian, China and moved with her parents to Taipei, Taiwan where she attended Taipei First Girls High School and completed undergraduate studies at National Chung Hsing University. She completed her Master’s degree in Chemistry at Oklahoma State University. While in graduate school she married Wei Chuan Lin.
They moved to Houston, Texas after graduation. She was a working mother of 3 sons and was very active in their lives as well as in the Houston Chinese Community.
After retirement she continued to volunteer with the Chinese Senior community, taking homebound seniors to their doctor’s appointments and serving as an interpreter. She enjoyed traveling to see other parts of the world including Europe, Asia including China and Africa.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Wei Chuan Lin and her 3 sons, David, Albert and Martin as well as 2 grandchildren Madison and Morgan.
Funeral service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10: 00am.
