Shirley "Shelley" Seeber Griffiths

Born on August 14, 1934, on her family farm in Canastota, New York, Shelley was the daughter of William and Arietta Seeber. In 1955, she married her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard "Dick" Griffiths.

Shelley began her career as a practical nurse at the Rome State School before relocating to Houston, Texas, where Dick’s career led the family. In Houston, Shelley worked as a bookkeeper for Stewart and Stevenson before becoming a Memaw.

She was an avid sports fan, a devoted beanie baby collector, a gamer, and a restaurant enthusiast. She had a special bond with animals, often caring for neighborhood strays and her own pets.

Shelley is survived by her daughters, Beth Richard, husband Brian, and Kelley Alberigo, husband Richard; her grandchildren, Carter Newitt, wife Amanda, Cassondra Childs, husband Sonny, Katie Griffiths, and Camryn Alberigo; her great-grandchildren, Colton Newitt and Reese Newitt; her sister, Sharon Richmond; her brother, Thomas Seeber and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Griffiths; her son, Jeffrey Griffiths; her parents, William and Arietta Seeber and several siblings.
