Shuet Ling Wong (Ho) (1950-2024) was a loving mother and grandmother, a kind, generous, and compassionate soul who enjoyed above all spending time with her family, and especially her three grandchildren. She had the most beautiful Chinese calligraphy, loved taking walks, playing mahjong with old friends, watching cooking shows and figure skating, and working tirelessly to save for her grandchildren's future.
Shuet Ling was born in Shun Tak, city of Foshan, Guangdong province in China on December 26, 1950, spent her childhood in Hong Kong, lived many years on Guam with her husband, Key Sheng Wong, raising her three daughters. She came to reside in Houston to care for her husband, and to be closer to her dear parents and three siblings.
She was on her usual evening walk when she was taken much too early from us. She had plans to be in Paris for a month, many more trips ahead, time together with friends and family, all cut short on November 18, 2024, in Houston, TX. She is lovingly survived by her 3 daughters, Mabel, Pauline, and Ruby, and her 3 grandchildren, Kiana, Paul-Louis, and Ari.
A funeral service for Shuet will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX.
Serving as pallbearers are Mabel Wong, Pauline Wong, Ruby Wong, Ari Tamsky, Marc Tamsky, Dan Griffin and Ricky Ho.
