Socorro A Gonzales

Socorro Arevalo Gonzales, a beloved native of Bryan Texas, peacefully departed this life on January 3rd 2025, at the age of 77, in Houston Texas. Born on June 27th, 1947 in Bryan,Texas. She was the cherished daughter of Malaquis Marquez and Guadalupe Medina.

Socorro's most honored accomplishment in life was being a proud boy mom to her three loving sons; Abel Arevalo, Patrick Lynn Arevalo and Bennie Arevalo III. Secondary to accomplishment in her life was her thriving 28 year career at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Where she went on to be recognized by the President himself, Robert M. Gates in 2004. She was most proud of this milestone in her life, as her love for the Texas Aggies was most profound.

Socorro was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother in law, aunt and sister to her siblings Rosie Gutierrez, Eloise Rojas, and Elena Ramirez, brothers Adolph Marquez, and Rudy Marquez. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever live on in her dearly beloved grandchildren Anthony Story, Aston Arevalo Narro, Logan Patrick Arevalo and Madilyn Rose Arevalo, Great- grand children Aubrie Narro and Jacie Jo Narro and numerous nieces and nephews.

Socorro is now reunited with her beloved Ex husband Bennie Arevalo Jr in eternal peace.
