Socorro Acevedo Gonzalez

Socorro Acevedo Gonzalez, age 80, of Humble, Texas passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. She was born in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon on June 27, 1943 to parents Mateo Acevedo Rosales and Josefina Montes Cavazos.

She met Rosendo Gonzalez in Sabinas Hidalgo and marries on December 25, 1964. Socorro was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to care for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Rosendo M. Gonzalez; children, Jose Rosendo and Monica, Ruben Antonio and Zulema, Socorro Magaly and Americo, and Jesus Ricardo; grandchildren, Laura Marcela, Luis Rosendo, Ricardo Aldair, Jose Ramiro, Melanie, Americo Nicolas, Magaly Amailin and Regina; siblings, Roberto, Abelardo, Juan Manuel, Edelmira, Marique, and Silvia Acevedo.

A visitation for Socorro will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A rosary service will occur Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM, followed by a funeral service.

Ella es sobrevivido por su esposo, Rosendo Gonzalez; hijos, Jose Rosendo y Monica, Ruben Antonio y Zulema, Socorro Magaly y Americo, y Jesus Ricardo; nietos, Laura Marcela, Luis Rosendo, Ricardo Aldair, Jose Ramiro, Melanie, Americo Nicolas, Magaly Amailin y Regina; hermanos y hermanas, Roberto, Abelardo, Juan Manuel, Edelmira, Manrique, y Silvia Acevedo.

Un velorio para Socorro se realizará el jueves, junio 27, 2024 desde la(s) 1:00 p.m. hasta la(s) 6:00 p.m., 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Un servicio de rosario se llevará a cabo el jueves, junio 27, 2024 desde la(s) 6:00 p.m. hasta la(s) 6:45 p.m., seguido por un servicio fúnebre.
