

Steve was born April 3, 1953 in Knoxville, TN: the son of Gene Von Clabough and Sue Henderson Clabough. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in mechanical engineering. Steve owned and operated Technology Lubricants Corporation in Houston, TX.
When he retired, he built Camp Clabough, a beautiful sanctuary in the Sam Houston National Forest where he was able to host family, friends, and local charity organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project and the Boys and Girls Country. Giving back to others was very important to Steve. He believed God made him successful so he could be a blessing to others.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents: Von & Amma Clabough and his cousin, Freda Clabough Freemon.
Steve is survived by his wife, LeAnn Beck Clabough, her children, and cousins: Anne Clabo Grant of Kenton, TN; Doug (Dawn) Clabough of Sugarland, TX; Faye (Ed) Pahl of Norfolk, VA; Brenda Clabough Russell of Pigeon Forge, TN; as well as David Grant, Holly Xenios, Christy Kobes, Marianne Leinau, and April Bannister.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston, TX followed by a Celebration of Life from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Pastor Walter Kahler officiating from HighPoint Fellowship Church in Splendora, TX. Steve was a member of his congregation.
A burial will be held in the Middle Creek Cemetery in Sevierville, TN. Graveside service information will be shared once arrangements are made.
