

Steven G. Cervantes Sr., passed away at his home September 5, 2018 at the age of 65, he was born on February 6, 1953 in Houston, TX. As he lost his courageous battle with cancer; he was surrounded by the love of his wife and family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Virginia Cervantes, son Steven G. Cervantes Jr., two brothers: Lawrence G. Cervantes, David G. Cervantes, sister Manuelita Villanueva. Steven is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Diane C. Cervantes, brother Isaac Cervantes Jr., and 2 sisters Tommie Trevino and Dolores Albert; 2 children Jesus S. Cervantes and Stephanie C. Escalera; 3 step-children Lesley A. Mendez, Orlando Loredo and Adriana V. Loredo; 11 grandchildren: Maribel A. Cavazos, Mireya A. Cavazos, AnaKaren R. Escalera, Marcos D. Mendez, Viviana Loredo, Abigail Loredo, Orlando Loredo Jr., Jaylene Loredo, Alyssa Loredo, Ernesto Cisneros III and Danny Cisneros; 3 great grand-children: Abriee D. Pena, Adrian Pena Jr. and Luke S. Zuniga.
My beloved husband Steven was retired from The Houston Chronicle after 35 years of service. He enjoyed his job as a Machine Operator; he always took his job seriously and was a loyal employee. Steven enjoyed spending time with his family members, enjoyed barbecuing and he loved going fishing with his wife. Steven put smiles and joy to all his family, friends and co-workers. We are truly going to miss him; he will always be in our hearts and we will always have happy memories of him.
Visitation will be Sunday September 9, 2018 at Crespo Funeral Home Navigation Chapel from 3pm-9pm.
