Stuart Potter Smith

Stuart Potter Smith of Pearland, Texas went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He was born Sept 5, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Preston Evans Smith and Margaret Moore Smith. Stuart was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. He graduated at the age of 15 years old from Charles H. Milby High School in Houston, Texas. Also, Stuart was in the South Houston Masonic Lodge Post# 1295.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Nell Smith; son Alex Jeffrey Smith and his wife Sondra; granddaughter Jenna Brianne Smith; sister Shirley Ann Eheman and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Stuart is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Susan Renee Smith Campbell and brother Preston E. Smith.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Monday, July 31, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed by a burial in Brookside Memorial Park.
