Her Life: Born on August 9, 1939, in Dublin, TX (Home to the Original Formula of Dr. Pepper) to Charlie Lee Garrett and Oma Dee Guy. Sue attended Ranger Jr College and then married her high school sweetheart, Billy Mac at 19 years old. She proudly claimed her greatest job, and highest calling was being dedicated to her family as a homemaker.
Her Legacy: Sue was a woman of immense faith, and creativity. She faithfully cared for her husband, children and friends. Sue loved to travel and had wonderful stories of living in Alaska. Known for her kindness and artistic gifts, she discipled ladies in the Bible, and enjoyed creating beautiful ceramics and quilts. Sue also had the gift and loyalty to collect lifetime friends as well as even making new ones at the very end of her life. She also remained faithful to her birth home by enjoying a daily Dr. Pepper! She would say, “There isn’t much a Dr. Pepper can’t fix!” Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She was the heart of every gathering and the "glue" that held everyone together.
She is survived by: Her beloved children: Kelly Nichols, Kim (Kevin) Abbrat, Jeff (Nicole) Nichols; grandchildren: Kelsey (Caleb) Prather, Kaleb (Christy) Abbrat, Konner, Kristianna Abbrat, Zachary, Elena Nichols; great grandchildren, Beau, Brody, Ambrose Prather, Lian, Elias Abbrat; sibling, Jim Tom (Judy) Garrett. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifetime of friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years Billy Mac Nichols.

She has fought the good fight, she has finished the race, and she has kept the faith. While our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in the certain hope that she is now resting in the arms of her Savior, hearing the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
