

On April 24, 1962, a baby boy was born in Pineville, Louisiana to the late Talton Turner, Sr. and Addie Wells Turner. Talton Jr., was affectionally better known as “Pedie”, T-Boy, “T”, and DJ DDT around the Acres Homes community. He was the first born of their four children.
The family moved to Houston in 1965 and he was educated in the Houston Independent School district, attending Mabel B. Wesley, Black Junior High, Mc Williams, and Booker T. Washington High School.
Talton join church at an early age and was baptized under the direction of Rev. Talton Turner (great uncle) at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist church. He also attended Greater Mt. Pillow Missionary Baptist Church where C. D Dixon was the pastor.
In July of 1993, he met the love of his life, Tracey Williams Turner and they were joined in holy matrimony on April 27, 2002. Over the past 32 years, they have built a wonderful life together as a blended family, raising five beautiful Sons and a bonus daughter together.
Talton was a machinist by trade and had taken on the roll as Plant Manager for Coiling Technologies where he’s been for over 40 years.
In his spare time he cherished spending time every Wednesday with his step mother Lola Faye. He also enjoyed cooking, competing in bbq competitions, hunting, talking politics, sports and spending time with family, but most of all, he loved riding his motorcycle.
He is preceded in death by his father (Talton Turner Sr.,) mother (Addie W. Turner), sister (Regina Turner Garrett), and step brother (Charles McCutcheon).
He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted and loving wife Tracey of 23 years. His children: Terrence (Selena), Joey, Terry, Travis, Trey and a Bonus Daughter T’Angela. “God Daughters Erica, Robin, Raven and God Son Jalon. A loving step mother, Lola, two sisters, Patricia (Gayron, III) and Kimbly, Five grand boys; Ronin, Travis, Jr., Tiago, Troy, and EJ and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, two aunts Helen (Charles) and Lannie and a host of other relatives and friends.
Special brothers from other mothers, Gary Collins, Don Duncan, Herbert McDaniel, Darren Bernal, Jose Prado, Robert Laviene, and William Lindsay.
A visitation for Talton will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 7302 N Main St, Houston, TX 77022. A life celebration will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The committal will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
