Tammie was born to Carnell and Albertine Hoeser on August 31, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas. As Carnell and Albertine’s youngest child, she grew up admiring her three older siblings: Barbara, Patricia, and Tom.
Tammie met her husband, Dan Delforge, in 1978 while working on the same construction site in Houston, Texas. They married four years later in January of 1982 and relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana. They went on to have two children, Brittany Lauren in 1985 and George Cameron in 1988, before moving back to Texas in April of 1990 and settling in the Cypress area.
Tammie was a life-long entrepreneur; she founded and operated multiple successful, small businesses in the 1990’s and 2000’s including Cajun Classics Catering, Idle Hours Tea Room, and Pure Fusion Home Decor.
Upon retiring in the 2010’s, Tammie dedicated herself to her gardening, her beloved golden retriever Riley, and her four grandchildren, whom she cherished above all others: Isabel Reyes-Delforge (born 2012), Dagny Roy (born 2016), and twins Silas and Holden Roy (born 2019).
Tammie was preceded in death by her parents Carnell and Albertine Hoeser and her sisters Barbara Kurek and Patricia Mucher. She is survived by her husband Dan Delforge, her children Brittany Roy and George Cameron Delforge, and her brother Tom Hoeser.
Tammie touched many hearts in her lifetime and will be deeply missed. Her vibrant and captivating personality gave her the ability to connect with anyone and it was often joked that she’d never met a stranger. She had an artistic and energetic soul that lent itself to creative endeavors and an overall zest for life. Her spirit will forever live on in those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
