Taylor Edward Brown was born on January 14, 1983 in Gulfport, Mississippi, the son of Thomas E. and Juanita (Wandy) Brown. He is survived by his parents, his wife, Donia Brown, his sister Sara Castille and her husband Brian, and his niece Lindsay Katherine Castille. He grew up in Houston, Tx. and attended St. Cecilia Catholic School and St. Thomas High School. Upon graduation, he attended Louisiana State University where he cultivated his passion for the bengal tigers and most importantly met the love of his life, Donia Cain Crouch.
Taylor’s love of life affected all of those around him, whether at his job as Parts Manager for Jackson Trucks and Trailers in Baton Rouge, La., or playing his guitar, or fishing or just being with his friends. He especially savored his time in the summers at Pensacola Beach with his family and life long friends.
Taylor accepted the challenges of his ill health over the past few months as part of God's will. In spite of the pain he endured, Taylor rarely complained and was more concerned about his loved ones than he was for his own welfare.
On February 13, 2012, a few weeks after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, Taylor married Donia in his hospital room at M.D. Anderson. In spite of his resolve to fight with everything he had, he lost his battle with cancer on Friday, March 23, surrounded by his loved ones.
The Brown family is grateful for the care that Taylor received at the hands of the M D Anderson hospital staff, especially Dr. Dejka Araujo and Physician Assistant Kristin Carter.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, March 28 from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm, followed by a vigil at 7:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
