Never had better neighbors than Ted and Judy.  I will never forget how we watched over each other's place.  Ted always made me feel safer, knowing he was there.  I'm certain that he is preparing our neighborhood in heaven and some day soon we will share time together again.  God be with you at this time especially.  Love, Jeanine

I’m sure there are many of us who remember Ted and his love for Blue Bell ice cream, Hershey’s chocolate and strawberry syrup, and whipped cream. That was the staple every time I would come over.
During college, Ted helped me with some of my accounting classes and nothing would get started until we had our sundae. Ted was quiet, patient, and brilliant. He was a great teacher and cared about if the students learned. I’m sure speaking to some teacher in the room, there are some students you can teach and others you can only hope for. For one of my classes, he tried to explain the core concepts and methodology so I could learn how to apply them and build on them. After a couple of weeks of constant tutoring, I came over one day, and Ted was sitting there looking accomplished. We started our session as usual with Blue Bell and I got my notebook out ready to show him what I was working on, Ted paused thoughtfully before retrieving a brand-new, shrink-wrapped solutions edition accounting book. I was excited that I finally was getting somewhere. Then he went and got a brand-new shrink-wrapped solutions edition accounting book. It was the one that he got as a professor, and he said here you go;
you can look at the solutions in the back and learn from them.

I wanted to share some special memories that I have about Ted/Grandpa

• I remember everytime we used to go over and we would have dessert, he would ask how much ice cream I wanted and would put about 3+ scoops in my bowl. He would also have a plethora of toppings as well, which for me was one of the best feelings in the world.

• I rarely ever saw him upset, but one time he was getting upset at Judy and he said "Now you hush up". It wasn't in a mean spirited way, but rather because you never saw him that upset and that was the most anger you saw come out. To me I always remember that because of the way he said it and I would remember and laugh at it till this day. 

• Of course the whole family knows this one. I was introduced to it at an early age as well: "Beans, beans they're good for your heart. Beans, beans they make you fart."

• Overall, I just always remember him being there. Whether we went out for a movie, grabbed some "lupper", or all the birthdays we celebrated, he was a constant support and blessing. As you know Ted was a grandfather to me and was a part of a huge chunk of my life. He listened, shared, taught, and loved all of us. I'm gonna miss him.

Over the years Ted became an important part of our lives. I especially was touched by his support during the trying times in the life of me and my kids. When Angela needed help with school, he was there for her. He always was always so proud of both Angela and Noel. 
He had many conversations with them both and they loved his input. Ted was a man of few words. I believe that he did not need them because his welcoming attitude when we visited him, his smile of encouragement, his hugs spoke volumes.
He always made me feel a part of his family and I felt that his encouragement got me through a lot of hard times. He always made me feel strong and valued.
He had a great sense of humor and his subtle jokes and quips had us laughing because mostly they were very witty and came out of nowhere. I loved him dearly and will miss him. His memories will always be there with me.
