Ted R. Stalder

Ted R. Stalder died peacefully in his sleep on April 29, 2013 at the age of 96. He was born on April 21,1917 in Nowata, OK to James Gillespie Stalder and Elizabeth Hayes Stalder. He married Wilma Jean Conder in Overton, TX on June 15, 1938, and after 70-plus years building a business in the oilfield, he and Wilma retired to Conroe, TX. Wilma passed away November 29, 1992, at which point Ted moved to Galveston, TX to work on his fishing.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Paul Stalder, and sister, Thelma Stalder.

Ted is survived by his loving son, Philip Stalder and his wife Stella; his grandchildren Shawn Stalder and wife Linda, Jennifer Stalder Harper and husband Jeff, and Christopher Stalder. He has three great-grandchildren, Grace and Philip Harper, and

Emma Stalder. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Stalder and his wife Brenda, and sisters, Lucille McDonald and Joanne Miller and Joanne's husband Tommy, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to the Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77077 for the

viewing on Wednesday May 1, 2013, from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held at Forest Park on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ted's name to the Shriner Hospitals for Children in Houston, TX, and that condolences be sent to the Stalder family in care ofthe Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home.
