Theresa was born on February 23, 1934 in Houston, Texas to Italian immigrants.
After graduating from Reagan High School, Theresa received professional art instruction where she expanded her knowledge of and interest in painting. Throughout her life, she produced many beautiful paintings and sketches, and held a passion for art.
Theresa selflessly cared for family and friends through her delicious Italian cooking and baking, sewing, and unique craft projects. She always wanted to help those in need through visits, meals, or phone calls. With a real zest for life which included dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends, she lived, laughed, and loved with all her heart.
After suffering a series of debilitating strokes, Theresa displayed a strong will to live, faith in God, and a true appreciation for the love and prayers of family and friends.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Mary Sarao; brothers, Tony & Sylvia Sarao, Lewis & Janie Sarao; sisters, Marie & Steve Kologinczak, Sarah & Alvin Albert, Angelina & Jack Kirk; and daughter, Dana & Jim Reece. She is survived by son, Kurt & Lynn Welborn; daughter, Gisella & Mike Miller; grandchildren, Ashley & Brittany Welborn, Austen & Haley Prugar, Garrett & Tessa Miller, and Natasha Jones; great-grandchildren, Ana Meyer, Thomas & Cezley Trahan; and many other nieces and nephews.
