Paul was raised in Houston. He worked for Amoco for 39 years and retired in 1990 just before BP merged with Amoco. He was an avid bowler, hunter, and fisherman. He loved his family.
Paul is survived by his wife Babs Cannon and his 4 children, Todd Michael Cannon, Renee Lynn Cannon, Thomas Wayne Cannon, and Douglas Edward Cannon; sister, Barbara Klekar; brothers Robert Cannon and John Allen Ellis; grandsons Marcus Howell, Mitchell Howell, Taylor Cannon, and Garrett Cannon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, David Wayne Cannon; his mother Edna Dick, stepfather Oral Dick, and father Lee Cannon.
